Steve Tamasi

During the summer, Steve is teaching at Asram Yoga and Meditation Center (www.jogakozpont.hu).  Please check back for additional classes in September!

The Class: Vinyasa Flow (dinamikus jóga) in English. Steve speaks and understands some Hungarian and teaches the class mostly in English. All poses will be demonstrated as needed. In a non-competitive environment, we will move through a series of yoga poses that cultivate strength, flexibility, balance while calming the mind. Pranayama (Breathing Exercises), Asanas (Yoga Postures), and Savasana (Relaxation) complement each other for an experience that will leave you relaxed as well as energized. All levels are welcome and no experience is necessary. This is your practice… Do what feels right for you, today... Focus on the breath…

Before class:  It is recommended not to eat 2 hours before practice.  Consider bringing a towel, sweat is healthy!  Always do what feels right for you.  If there is any pain or discomfort during the practice, take a break at any time.  Yoga mats are provided.

Instructor: Steve Tamasi first recognized the benefits of Yoga for overall health on a physical, mental and spiritual level over 11 years ago back in Southern California. In 2007, he completed his teacher training through Cloud Nine Yoga School. Since then, he has taught weekly classes in the Los Angles area and has recently moved to Budapest where he continues to share his love of yoga. Steve is a registered Hatha Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance.

A thank you from Steve to some special teachers:
I want to thank you for helping me to resist the urge to resist following my own life's path.  Also, for helping me live in the present and have gratitude for these everyday gifts.  For helping me breathe and bring the warmth of the sun to my soul.  For helping me to show kindness today and not just planning to do so tomorrow. Thank you for bringing it all together with your energy and musical style.  Thank you for the times I felt I was on the verge of falling into a dream.

I've found that yoga can be something that can keep me grounded  and sane when it may seem that my world around me is falling apart.  I have found it can also serve as inspiration to lift me higher when everything seems to be going my way.

In the end, I want to thank each of you for just being who you are.  And with that, providing the space and cultivating the energy.  I'll remember the good vibes and positivity for some time to come. . . Steve
